  • Amanda Jornd

    (She/Her)

    Dr. Jornd is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of Maryland who works with children, adolescents, and young adults. Dr. Jornd received her doctorate from the Illinois School of Professional Psycholo​gy and completed her training within multiple settings specializing in child and adolescent psychological services, including hospitals, community mental health centers, schools and private practices. Dr. Jornd completed her internship with Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health in Canton Ohio, and she completed a fellowship at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital in Baltimore Maryland.

    During her time in training, Dr. Jornd focused on specializing her skills to treat a range of mental health concerns including management of symptoms related to anger concerns, anxiety, depression, ADHD, gender dysphoria and trauma. Dr. Jornd is trained in gender-affirming care, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), and utilizes multiple evidence- based treatments such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectal behavioral therapy (DBT) and parent skills training methods such as parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT) and Positive Parenting Program (Triple-P).

    Additionally, Dr. Jornd proudly strives to create a warm affirming therapeutic experience for sexual orientation and gender identity minorities (commonly known as the LGBTQ+ community.) Therapeutically, it is her belief and goal to create an environment centered around trust, support, empathy and openness to help clients and families overcome difficulties and be the best versions of themselves. Dr. Jornd believes that utilization of multiple skills is ideal for working with clients as she believes there is not a “one size fits all” approach.

    Outside of her work, Dr. Jornd is a self-proclaimed cat lady and a passionate Law and Order: SVU fan. She further enjoys spending time with her wife and fur babies, Nala the cat and Pancake the rabbit, and Waffle the dog. She also loves playing Animal Crossing and attempting to succeed at various PC games.

  • Megan Lynch

    (She/They)

    Dr. Lynch is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of Maryland who primarily works with young adults and adults. Dr. Lynch received their doctorate from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology and completed their internship at Clemson University Counseling Center in Clemson, South Carolina. Additionally, Dr. Lynch completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Towson University Counseling Center and became a full-time psychologist there for 2 years. Dr. Lynch has a passion for working with young adults as evidenced by their extensive training within college counseling centers, however Dr. Lynch also has experiences working within hospital settings and other private practices.

    Dr. Lynch provides a safe space to explore life’s hardships and when needed, offers gentle challenges. They are considered a generalist and can work with a wide variety of mental health concerns and also have a deep understanding of various multicultural factors that might impact the way a person experiences the world.

    During training, Dr. Lynch became familiar with a variety of therapeutic techniques which include but are not limited to: Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Client Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief (SFBT), and Gender Affirming Care.

    They utilize a combination of evidence-based practices and cultural humility coupled with a humorous, nerdy, kind personality to provide a unique therapeutic experience that is both relaxed but also strives to compassionately move with you through emotional pains

    In their free time, aside from spending time with their wife, animals or friends, Dr. Lynch greatly enjoys playing a variety of video/PC games and watching anime with their favorite being Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.

  • Honorary Team Member- Waffle

    On occasion Waffle might be in attendance at your in-person appointment. Prior to her attending an appointment, we would explicitly gain your approval that this is acceptable during your intake appointment.

    Waffle is a 11 year old Husky mix and could provide a calm prescience. There are a variety of reasons she might be with us or not and we cannot guarantee she would be present even if you request her.
